The Perfect Hidden Wedding Venue near the Historic Market Pannery Town of Tavistock
Terell & Andrew wanted to have a wedding near their hometown of Plymouth, but they also wanted to be somewhere quaint and peaceful - so Tavistock was the obvious best choice.
Fortunately they had Maven Visuals Wedding Films along to document their stunning wedding day all in a wedding film, so we could share the best wedding moments with you.
Here are our 5 favourite moments from their wedding film so you can see just how great Tavistock weddings are.

Moment 1/5: When the Dress Code was “Shorts Only”
If you’re planning a wedding in June, July or August… your main threat isn’t the rainy wedding day everyone usually fears… it's the heat.
Andrew knew this in advance and made the decision to bypass these sacrificial traditions of wearing big cumbersome suits on the hottest days of the year (it was about 35 Degrees this day) and informed his groomsmen that they would all be allowed to wear shorts.
I think you’ll agree that this was well worth doing… The heat that day was absolutely insane, yet they still all looked sharp & fantastic.

Moment 2/5: When Ever After had the perfect aesthetic for a summer wedding in Tavistock
Ever After itself is a lovely hidden little venue in a place called Grenofen in Tavistock.
As a wedding videographer that lives in Tavistock myself, I can confirm that we have tons of beautiful places around us that would be perfect for anyone getting married in Devon.
But in the week, when I’m not being a wedding videographer and just being “Chris, the guy that lives in Tavistock”, Grenofen is my go to place for a walk, or where I go to show off how beautiful Tavistock is to my friends from out of town.
In addition to the perfect location, Ever After has such a beautiful layout inside its walls that I never knew existed.
From the pretty little bridge over the tranquil pond, to the lovely and cool marquee covering the dancefloor and the eating area, to the fire pits and gentle pathways following the river down to Double Waters, Ever After is a picturesque place for a micro-wedding or elopement in Devon.

Moment 3/5: When the local children all queued up to congratulate the newlyweds
After the ceremony, we had decided to take a walk to a spot the wedding photographer knew to take some photos.
As I’ve mentioned… Today was hot. So it wasn’t too surprising to see children spending their day off doing some good old-fashioned tombstoning off the bridge and into the refreshing river.
When you’re a bride, it’s pretty hard to walk anywhere in public incognito, so Andrew & Terell were instantly clocked by the children.
They were good kids, and all queued up and clapped our royal bride & groom through a marching line… It was cool!

Moment 4/5: When the saxophonist was an absolute legend.
If you didn’t know yet, ‘Daniel Costin On Sax’ is the iconic sax player for Devon & Cornwall.
Back in my days of being a wedding editor I would edit hundreds of weddings a year, and from this sheer quantity of weddings I estimated that Daniel Costin appeared at roughly 1 in 10 Devonshire weddings, and every single time his energy was unmatched.
Daniel is a true performer, and he’s the sax guy you want if you want your guests to have a memorable experience.
Daniel Costin on Sax isn’t just going to be playing your classics in Sax format - he’s going to be a nuclear-fusion-level energy source and good times magnet for as long as he’s at your event.
I’ve seen plenty of Wedding Saxophonists as a wedding videographer, especially in Devon, but Daniel is something else entirely in the best possible way.

Moment 5/5: When the sunset and the vibe was perfect.
After what was undoubtedly a brutally hot day, seeing the sun ease off and the temperature cool down was a most welcome event for everyone at the wedding.
The time after the wedding speeches is always my favourite at a wedding… mostly because as a wedding videographer, the speeches are the last thing that require serious preparation on my part.
But it’s also great because none of the wedding speech speakers feel nervous now either.
Often this is the time when wedding guests have been drinking enough to be half-cut and chilled, without being steaming enough to turn into a liability around expensive kit or to themselves.
At this stage it was all in balance. And the beautiful sunset gave the perfect closure to a beautiful wedding day.

So, feel free to jump in the conversation!
